The true global burden of diarrheal disease is poorly measured

DDiarrheal diseases remain a leading killer of young children, but gaps in data make it hard to know the real scale, causes, and where to direct prevention. Better methods to estimate the global burden of diarrheal disease would sharpen public health priorities. Accurate burden estimates help allocate vaccines, sanitation, and treatment where they save the most lives.
