These Terms and Conditions govern your use of "What's Your Problem?", a free, public problem showcase operated as an initiative by ProCreator, an Indian-incorporated entity. By creating an account, submitting a problem, voting, or marking interest in solving a problem, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not accept any part of these terms, please do not use the platform.

You can reach us at problem-support@procreator.in for any clarification.

1. Who can use the platform

You may use the platform only if you are at least eighteen years old, capable of entering into a legally binding agreement under the laws of India, and not barred from using the platform under applicable law. By using the platform you represent and warrant that you meet these conditions.

Business accounts may be created and used on behalf of a registered entity by a person authorised to act for that entity.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. Do not impersonate another person or business. Tell us promptly at problem-support@procreator.in if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

We may verify your email by sending a one-time confirmation link. Until you verify your email, certain actions (such as publishing a problem or marking interest in one) may be unavailable.

3. The platform is free

The platform is free to use. We do not charge any fee to browse problems, submit a problem, mark interest in solving a problem, or appear on the leaderboard. We do not process payments and we do not take a commission. The platform showcases problems people want solved; it does not itself solve problems, and we make no promise to build, fund, or otherwise support any problem listed here.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the platform in good faith. The list below is illustrative, not exhaustive. You will not:

  • Submit fake problems, joke listings, copy-paste content, or material that has no real-world basis.
  • Submit problems that infringe a third party's intellectual property or that disclose another person's confidential information.
  • Submit problems that promote violence, hate, harassment, illegal activity, or self-harm.
  • Submit problems whose primary purpose is to advertise a product or service rather than describe a problem.
  • Manipulate votes or interest through duplicate accounts, automated bots, or any other scheme that misrepresents the public signal on a problem.
  • Harvest the email addresses shown on problems for unrelated marketing, recruitment, or bulk outreach campaigns.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the platform, scrape data at scale, or probe the platform for vulnerabilities without our written permission.
  • Use the platform in a way that violates the law of India or any other jurisdiction that applies to you.

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or take other action when we discover a violation. Material or repeated violations may result in a permanent ban.

5. Voting and interest integrity

Voting and interest are the core signals on the platform. To preserve them:

  • One vote per registered user per problem. You may switch your vote between upvote and downvote, but the platform always counts your latest position.
  • One interest mark per registered user per problem.
  • Vote-buying, coordinated brigades, and manipulation through multiple accounts are prohibited.
  • We may quietly discount votes or interest that show patterns consistent with manipulation, and we may reset counts on a problem if we discover proven abuse.

6. Content ownership and licence

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including problem titles and descriptions.

By submitting content to the platform you grant ProCreator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and adapt that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the platform. This licence lasts as long as the content remains live on the platform and includes the right to surface your problem on the public showcase, in newsletters, on social media, and in aggregate statistics.

You confirm that you have the right to submit the content and that the licence above does not violate any agreement, law, or third-party right.

7. Submitter contact details are public

When you publish a problem, the email on your account is shown publicly on that problem so that anyone can reach out to you about it. Do not submit a problem if you do not want your email shown publicly.

You may withdraw a problem from public view at any time by archiving it from the dashboard. Archived problems do not appear in search or browse results.

8. Marking interest in solving a problem

Anyone signed in can mark "I want to solve this" on a problem. When you do, your name and email become visible to that problem's submitter and to our admins so they can reach out to you. Marking interest does not create any exclusive engagement, contract, or obligation between you and the submitter; any arrangement you reach is strictly between the two of you, outside the platform.

When you reach out to a submitter, or respond to someone interested in your problem, please be respectful, be specific, and do not push anyone to share confidential information beyond what is necessary. We may review reports of inappropriate contact and may suspend accounts for repeated abuse.

9. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if your continued use of the platform poses a risk to other users.

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. Closing your account does not erase votes or interest you have already recorded on public problems (we anonymise them).

10. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • We do not endorse, vet, or guarantee the accuracy of any problem, submitter, or interested person on the platform.
  • We are not a party to any arrangement between a submitter and a person who marks interest in solving their problem.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
  • Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, noting that the platform is provided free of charge.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold ProCreator and its officers, employees, and contractors harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or your violation of a third party's rights.

12. Dispute resolution and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at problem-support@procreator.in and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith for at least thirty days.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will email registered users at the email on file and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. The updated terms take effect when posted. Continued use of the platform after that means you accept the updated terms.

14. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect.
  • A failure by us to enforce a right under these terms is not a waiver of that right.
  • We use privacy-friendly analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand how the platform is used, only after you accept it in the cookie-consent banner and with advertising signals disabled. How this works, and how to opt out, is described in our Privacy Policy.
  • These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any product-specific notices we publish, are the entire agreement between you and ProCreator regarding your use of the platform.
