WHO reports that climate change, conflict, and lack of safe water and sanitation infrastructure continue to fuel cholera outbreaks, with hundreds of thousands infected and thousands of deaths in a single year. Outbreaks spread fast when surveillance and water testing are slow or absent. Faster detection, water monitoring, and case-reporting tools can curb outbreaks.
