High-risk, high-gain deep-tech research lacks funding for unproven ideas

RRadically new technologies often cannot attract early funding because they are too unproven for traditional investors and programmes. The EIC Pathfinder Open supports early-stage, high-risk research toward breakthrough future technologies with no predefined theme. Without this support, promising science stalls before it can mature.
