Crops are not resilient enough to climate stress and plant-based ingredient production stays resource-heavy
Posted 3 days agoOtherOtherBusinessFaced by Farmers, food and ingredient manufacturers, and consumers
Agriculture faces mounting pressure from drought, heat, and shifting conditions while conventional production of high-value ingredients remains resource-intensive and environmentally damaging. This EIC Pathfinder Challenge seeks biotechnology approaches to breed climate-resilient crops and to produce valuable ingredients directly in plants. Success would help farmers adapt and give food makers lower-emission, biodiversity-friendly supply.
