Billions lack safely managed drinking water and sanitation

SSDG 6 aims for universal access to safe and affordable drinking water and adequate sanitation and hygiene. Unsafe water and poor sanitation drive disease outbreaks, including cholera, and keep children out of school. Affordable water quality monitoring and sanitation solutions for low-resource settings are urgently needed.
